NAID 2017 is packed with learning, networking and amazing evening events! Because traveling to another city and going to a new conference can be a bit overwhelming for first-time attendees, we have implemented some features to make navigating the conference a bit easier for our first timers. Last year, we implemented a mentor program to assist those who were new or newer to attending the NAID Annual Conference and it was such a success – we’re doing it again this year!
Some ways the conference mentor might assist the attendee include: being a friendly and supportive contact shortly before, during and perhaps after the meeting; answering questions about the structure of NAID; visiting the exhibit hall together and making introductions to vendors and exhibitors; or attending the opening reception together and/or other social/networking events. The purpose of this program is not detailed for career advice, academic mentor-ship, intense discussions of research, or for getting inside scoops on other companies.
