NAID 2017 is packed with learning, networking and amazing evening events! Because traveling to another city and going to a new conference can be a bit overwhelming for first-time attendees, we have implemented some features to make navigating the conference a bit easier for our first timers. Last year, we implemented a mentor program to assist those who were new or newer to attending the NAID Annual Conference and it was such a success – we’re doing it again this year!
Any attendees who would like to new or newer attendees should select the option on their registration. Some ways the conference mentor might assist the attendee include: being a friendly and supportive contact shortly before, during and perhaps after the meeting; answering questions about the structure of NAID; visiting the exhibit hall together and making introductions to vendors and exhibitors; or attending the opening reception together and/or other social/networking events. The purpose of this program is not detailed for career advice, academic mentor-ship, intense discussions of research, or for getting inside scoops on other companies.
